Peter David Edstrom began his career in Europe before immigrating to the United States. Of his many accomplishments, Edstrom is recognized as a founder of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He was a featured speaker for the Contemporary Club during his visit to Redlands in 1923. A specialist in historical busts, Edstrom chose Lincoln as the subject of two works in 1926. The other is currently on display at Mission Inn in Riverside.
