The Lincoln Memorial Shrine

A Lincoln Museum in Redlands, CA

Two hundred years after his birth, the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln continues to fascinate and inspire. Born into poverty on the edge of an untamed frontier, his rise from obscurity to greatness has become a symbol of the universal hope that we can all improve our circumstances in life.

Abraham Lincoln: Busts Abound

President Abraham Lincoln is perhaps the most sculpted individual in American history.  Thousands of different pieces have been created in the 160 years since his death, demonstrating the importance of his memory in the American—and international—psyche.  For many works, little is known about the artists and why they chose Lincoln as the subject of their art.
