The Inland Empire Civil War Round Table (IECWRT) is an educational organization open to anyone interested in the American Civil War, 1861-65. Founded in 1987, the Round Table is both a setting for formal talks and a forum for informal discussions of topics related to the Civil War.
The IECWRT hosts free, virtual programs, usually the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific). The link, which opens at 6:15 that night, is at: inlandempirecwrt.org.
The Round Table also hosts free, in-person programs at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific), usually the third Wednesday of the month in the Assembly Room of the A.K. Smiley Public Library, 125 W. Vine St., Redlands, California. Social time begins at 6 p.m.
The in-person program also will livestream on Zoom. The link, which opens at 6:15 that evening, is at the above website.
A recording of each IECWRT program is available on the nonprofit’s website soon thereafter.
Also on the Round Table’s website is: a list of its program speakers and their respective topics, dates, and times; the IECWRT’s newsletter, the “Hardtack;” and program information from fellow Southern California-based Civil War Round Tables, which have formed an alliance (socalcwrt.org) founded by IECWRT President Mike Hoover, to better serve the public.
